Vietnam War veteran John Rambo (Sylvester Stallone) is living and working in Thailand near the Burmese border transporting people across the river while a village in Burma is permanently tortured by savage local militaries. Sarah (Julie Benz) and Michael Bennett (Paul Schulze), human rights missionaries, ask Rambo to guide into the war zone to fulfill their humanitarian mission. After the aid workers are kidnapped from the village, Rambo decides to rescue them alone. |

After her divorce, Meg Altman and her daughter Sarah move into an old-fashioned house with one very modern addition: a "panic room" which is virtually impossible to break into, designed for refuge during a home invasion. In their first night in the house a trio of thieves do break in and Meg and Sarah rush into the panic room. However, the intruders are looking for something inside the panic room, and given the recent move the room's hotline to the police hasn't been hooked up yet. When Mona's key won't fit in her Yugo, she tries it in her son's; when it works, she borrows his car. The brakes fail; she goes through the guard rail, into the river, and drowns. When police chief Rash learns that the brake lines were cut, he looks for a murderer. Suspect one: Mona's dim son Jeff, whom she constantly denigrated.
